Why Support Our High School Band?

Music education plays a powerful role in student growth, both inside and outside the classroom. Research from the National Association for Music Education shows that participation in school music programs builds confidence, encourages teamwork, strengthens social skills, and provides a welcoming community where students form lasting friendships. By supporting our band, you are investing in opportunities that help young people thrive — both as musicians and as individuals.

I’ve always loved how a band is a combination of music and community. Without one, you don’t really have the other. My band is an example of this because I’ve met new people, strengthened my perseverance, and learned so much more about musicianship in just this year alone. Band has helped me find my true passion which is to play music with great people. Band has made me realize how important it is to have connections, as they can help you get places.
